Duramax owners, what oil do you use?

I currently use Delo 400 LE but have thought about changing over to Rotella. What oil do you use?

Mobil 1 delvac. I am a strong believer that the filter is much more important than the oil though.

Rotella in all 3 of my diesels. I think on the Duramax the fuel filter with the smallest Microns is worth the price, at autozone on there computer there listed which is the best

I currently use NAPA Gold oil and fuel filters.

Agreed. The fuel system is much more succeptible to issues. Get a LP with a larger filter and separate fuel/water separator if you are concerned with longevity like me.

How often do you change your oil?

I go by the DIC which I'm pretty sure is based off engine hours. Typically it's around 6k miles.

Napa gold is good stuff.

I have heard good things about Rotella. My truck has always had the Delo 400 LE in it. The previous owner used it and I just continued using it.

Rotella is all my family has ever used ,truck, tractors, offshore boat and a couple big rigs, never had one issue with the oil , kinda hard to look at anything else .

2 gals of rotella and 1/2 gal of lucas. been using these filters for the last 50k or so.
