I think I have found a way to get people their benefits for donating much quicker but I have no way to test it.
So, if you have been thinking about donating then maybe try this out and let me know if it works. It still uses paypal but it should be a lot easier and you will immediately get the bigger inbox and the supporter icon.

Just select a donation amount in the drop box, all of them give you the same benefits. And it is permanent, the 10 years thing is just the highest option the system had.
