electrical advice needed-- gfci outlet amber light, wont reset

Sometimes they are wired up so that one gfi outlet protects several other normal looking outlets downstream

Also of you plug in a fridge or freezer or heater or anything that uses a lot of juice. The Gfi won't lost long

The ones outside get a little rusty or corroded and stop working

A freezer should be treated like a fridge on it's own separate breaker and not a ground fault outlet.

The 2011 NEC revision requires single use receptacles such as freezers and refrigerators to be GFCI protected. You can purchase outlets that are rated for the heavier amperage draw of compressors turning on intermittently.

I think that would be GFCI breakers not receptacles
