Elementary school Shooting in Texas.. 13 Dead

"Go in there! Go in there!" women shouted at the police soon after the attack began, according to neighbor Juan Carranza, who told the Associated Press about the parents' efforts to get the police to confront the shooter. Carranza said the officers did not go in.

One parent, Javier Cazares, whose fourth-grade daughter Jacklyn was killed in the attack, said he raced to the school when he heard about the shooting, only to find that police weren't moving in.

"Let’s just rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything like they are supposed to," he said, adding "More could have been done."

"There were five or six of [us] fathers, hearing the gunshots, and [police officers] were telling us to move back," he told the Washington Post. "We didn’t care about us. We wanted to storm the building. We were saying, ‘Let’s go’ because that is how worried we were, and we wanted to get our babies out."

One clip shows officers tackling parents outside the school to prevent them from rushing in. However, the precise timeline of the below videos compared to what was happening inside the school remains unclear...

That said, it now appears as if several cops may have entered the school to save their own children while the shooting was unfolding and the parents were being held back.

For clarity was there not another team inside the school when the cops were holding back parents? They hold back parents and chill outside with no cops inside at the time?

"After Ramos entered the school, he charged into one classroom and began to open fire. According to Lt. Christopher Olivarez of the Department of Public Safety, he "barricaded himself by locking the door and just started shooting children and teachers that were inside that classroom."

According to Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, it took between 40 minutes and 1 hour from when Ramos began opening fire to when the CBP agent, backed by his tactical team, shot him."

I’m not a cop- I’ve never run into a burning building and it’s easy to sit back and second guess the officers on the scene.

But this seems similar to the Parkland shooting in Florida - it seems once again initial responders failed to act successfully.

The years of degrading and “defunding” our police have resulted in a generation of administrators serving as law enforcements officers. We don’t have many cops anymore- we lack dangerous people willing to do dangerous things to protect the innocent. That’s what a real cop does!

Empowering our cops to do hard things can go a long way at stopping these tragedies.

America has always had guns- always. These types of tragedies appear to be on the rise. Why? What has changed over the past 100 years? We are drifting away from God! We are leading the world in doctor prescribed mental health drugs, We have weakened our police forces. Our kids are more addicted to social media and technology than ever before. Our music and entertainment is full of gratuitous violence. 3 decades of abortion has helped us disregard the divinity and sanctity of human life. Hollywood glorifies violence in the name of entertainment.

The media also loves to distort the truth and cite how many mass shootings there are in America. Most of the mass shootings they cite are gang and drug related and largely isolated and limited to about 25 Democrat controlled cities. This mass shooting this week in Texas is different than most gang related mass shootings.

There will always be evil in the world, but that evil seems to be growing in scope reach and public acceptance.
Amen Rosco!

The cops did the exact same thing in Broward Co. FL in the Parkland shooting and waited on-site for 20+ mins before intervening.
