Must be getting old, I'll be in the UK first two weeks of June. We usually spend about a month there every year catching up with family and friends.

I think everything has pretty much been covered. Don't use the exchange place in the airport, just get cash from a good preferably indoor bank atm there. Use your credit card as much as possible, choose one that has a low or no transaction fee. Be sure to call the card company and let them know you'll be overseas. Heed the pick pocket warnings. Wear decent shoes.... Your beat up Nikes don't count. Please, no shorts with white or black socks and a fanny pack!

In nice pubs I believe it's still customary for ladies to order their beer by the half pint, instead of the full pint.

Respect the no go zones in the cities, even with an escort. they are not marked on the subway maps and if you get off a train at the wrong stop and go wandering about it can get sketchy quick.

And If you sit down keep your eyes on your bags or they will get snatched right out from under you while you are chatting.
