I agree. unless they really require it for their jobs, i.e. SWAT/SOF/HRT and etc, it would be a waste of money.

I know it's a little different, but I actually like a full size optic (scope) with a low power of 1 or 1.5 and illuminated reticle on my ARs. 45 degree mounted flip up BUIS takes care of any failure possibility and provides the best sight picture for both sighting systems. I can also have the BUIS already up when there is a possibility I'll need them, so transitioning to them is almost instantaneous.

I run a light on a few of my rifles and the one with DD irons yes, but I'm confused on why you thought I didn't run a light? Like irons don't work awesome with white light application?

If a white light was involved with irons I didn't see the need for tritium. That's all.
