I’m debating. The problem is that the ones I have just won’t quit. I wish it can blow a turbo seal, leak oil all over my driveway or just maybe even catch on fire to give me a reason to move on…

But wouldn’t u know it…they just keep going.

I have one with 115k miles and it still drives like I drove off the dealership when I first bought it

It’s damn tight and doesn’t squeak. It’s F’ing annoying. It doesn’t even need brakes yet.

What vehicle did you have before that was so unreliable? I have 2 vehicles. One I bought 11 years ago. The other was 10 years ago. Glad you’ve had good luck with your electric cars for quality and reliability. I’d be interested to know about maintenance costs over a decade, ballpark, but no one seems to keep them that long.

ETA - Looking through used listings, there are some Tesla cars over 200k miles.

yep.. they are supposed to be making a ev truck with nothing but lights, speedo, and batteries.. roll up windows, no radio, not that i want a ev, truck but i bet it does better than all the rest on the market....
i am shopping around for another duramax. but it will be a 7 1/2 to 9. nothing newer...

I presently drive a basic 2007 Ford Escape with 128,000 miles on it. I have had no major problems. I doubt that I'll ever own anything new than 2010.

ive recently bought a 2015 Chevy, it currently has 5600 miles on it. The transmission has just recently started acting funny. It's constantly searching for a gear, especially when towing something. Shifts extremely hard, and sometimes the throttle response is awful, I'll have to completely take my foot off the gas and then accelerate again. My local dealer says the transmission is "learning my driving habits" and they have received many many complaints saying the same thing. The service tech I talked to literally said and I quote "we are aware of the problem but until gm realizes that...
