Warrants outline plot by suspects in federal firearms and explosives case

02/19/14 6:45 p.m.

By: Kim Sloan-Jarrett (WRGA News)

The three men charged with federal firearms and explosives charges were plotting to sabotage power transfer stations and water treatment facilities, according to FBI arrests warrants filed in federal court.

The plot was devised in Rome but the three were hoping other people would join what they called their “mission,” the warrants stated.

Thirty-six-year-old Brian Edward Cannon, 28 year-old Cory Robert Williamson and 45 year-old Terry Eugene Peace, who list their address as 22 Tumlin Drive, Rome on Floyd County Jail records, are being held on federal firearms and explosives charges.

Their alleged mission was to be launched in February against the federal government and other targets listed included the “TSA, DHS, and non emergency FEMA, road blocks, etc…” according to the warrants.

Cannon had a conversation obtained by the FBI in which he described targeting power transfer stations and water treatment plants.

“If enough sabotage was successful then martial law would be declared therefore triggering other militias to join in the fight,” the warrant cites Cannon as saying.

The men were hoping to obtain 12 pipe bombs and two thermite devices.

They were arrested in Cartersville on Saturday as they attempted to obtain the explosives. The warrant says three rifles were found in the cab of the truck and Peace and Cannon were carrying pistols.

Cannon and Williamson are scheduled to have detention hearings in federal magistrate court on Friday while Peace is scheduled to have a detention hearing on Monday.

Magistrate Judge Walter E. Johnson has assigned attorneys to the three men.

We will have more on this story on WRGA News Thursday morning.

There have been half a dozen cases just like this fall completely to pieces the last decade by federal LE that found morons like this guys online and started talking them into criminal acts.

Lets see what sticks......

Oh and if you want to start a revolution "Facebook" is not a great recruiting tool and most likely one of the most heavily monitored places on the web

There is a reason the Secret Service and the FBI have "Internet Threat Desk"s (or the equivalent under another name)...

If you are getting together with other people to discuss society and government problems, the guy or gal suggesting violence is probably a Fed.
