Firearm of choice opening day 10/22/16

My dad gave me a 338 BAR for my 18th bday- 27 yrs ago. Hunted with it for yrs before retiring. He has a 30-06 BAR that he used - guess my boys will be getting them soon.

I bought a nice BAR in .30/06 off the ODT a couple of years ago...I hunted with it twice, killed a 9 pointer, then traded it away. It is one of those I regret trading, but I saw no reason to stop using the .270, especially where I hunt.
