It's not supply and demand. If it was, the retails stores would be charging what we see here. And most aren't.

The second hand market is stupid right now. Retail isn't.

So just buy new from a local dealer and save some money.

Could it be that "retail stores" have some dealer agreement restrictions with the manufacturer/supplier on pricing? Not sure but would seem plausible.....

I have talked to several dealers during this covid crap... They said that prices from the manufacturers hasn't really changed... So their prices have not changed as a result. Two of the dealers said that they would not screw over their loyal customers by trying to take advantage of the situation and jacking up prices, just because they could.

Most of the inflated prices are happening with the second hand market.
