And it took an absolute act of God for them to get into the final game with those inexplicable losses the final week. Had Saban stayed, I'm 100% confident LSU would have won 3 more national championships vs the 1. Les flat out cost them one (and millions in bowl revenue) with his mind numbingly idiotic clock management one game and what was his punishment?..... a raise and contract extension.
LSU wants nothing other than to be a "player's coach". As long as he is there LSU will have a better than average team solely due to player talent (and his recruiting abilities). When you think of "coach up" a player, the last person you think of is Les. While Richt and Miles are dramatically different in many areas, yes, unfortunately, the outcome will always be similar... underperformance.
