Goals for 2016-17 Hunting Season

Same goal every year. Sitting around a campfire with some of the best folks in the world. Listen to lies at the fire,coyotes in the distance and the wind through the pinès. See some great sunrises and sunsets. And somewhere in there, bag two or three.

That's what I hunt with! Mines from 65', To me it's the perfect deer rifle.

Big old deer are dying of old age in DeKalb and Fulton.

Not all of them dying of old age. Lol

Hunting is good in most of the state nowadays. Back when I was growing up, most of the bigger deer seemed to be coming from the South. The statewide QDM on tag #2 and leases trophy managing their herds themselves has given nearly any county potential to grow a giant buck.
As far as my preference, I'm South Ga all the way, especially along the Flint River.
