Good Gun shop in Macon

One of our security guards got beat up pretty bad and her car got stolen. Great way to start a Monday.
Ugh... I truly hope she recovers soon.

Like I said, keep your head on a swivel and ALWAYS carry.
Quick tip, based on personal experience with the area, always watch out for packs (groups of three or more individuals). They almost always bring trouble.

Certain parts of town have nothing for you but trouble, any time of day or night. There is no reason to be out and about in some neighborhoods, especially on foot. Don't linger at gas stations, lock your doors when out of your car and pay attention to anyone giving you 'the look.' Don't give them anything if asked, don't get the red ass, don't bow up, these folks have nothing to lose.

That said, there are some nice areas to hang out in and even downtown isn't so bad (stay armed and sober), we go there a lot for dinner.

Agreed to all of this.

Downtown does seem to be going through a bit of gentrification. Good to see. Plus, The Rookery needed some competition:very_drunk:

Howard's and Classic Firearms. Howard's has like 10x the inventory though so you can find about anything there, used and new. Classic Firearms is good, but they don't have a big selection, especially of used.

You should stop in there now. Buddy has loads of very nice firearms for sale right now. Very nice indeed.

I'll give a thumbs up for Howard's. Super nice guy. I haven't been in there in over a year and when I walk in the door he still remembers my name. That impresses me. He always cuts me a deal and the staff is always friendly. can't say much about everyone's awe with Nu way Weiner. I've only ate at the one in Ft Valley. worst crap I put in my mouth on purpose.

Ah man I'll have to check it out. It's been a few months since I've been in there. They were on the road doing a lot of gun shows so most of the good stuff was out with the shows. Thanks for the heads up!

I wasnt too impressed with howards. The staff was helpful, dont get me wrong, but I definitely got an "I'm busy, what do you want?" vibe from the majority of the staff. I also got a "talk to that guy" and me running around trying to figure out who I need to speak with. Its not as friendly as classic firearms or firearm traders. Howards does have an awesome selection, though. And their used gun rack is actually priced like a used gun rack! lol
