Got to shoulder and fire a rifle from 1869 today. Whats the oldest gun you have ever fired?

Rifles. Winchester model 61, 62, Postal Meter and Rockola M1 carbines. Shotgun. Winchester model 42. When were they made, 1940s or 50s? Pistols. Colt SAA, made late 1890s. Colt 1911, WWI made early 1900s. I've had many, many other weapons in my hands over my lifetime that were much older. But I don't remember shooting them

My dad has a pretty much mint Winchester model 61 I stand to inherit when he passes. According to my brother (who has read the will- I have a copy of it, but refuse to even open it until after he's gone), I'm supposed to inherit all of my dad's guns.

Not in no big hurry, I'd rather he still be around. He's 83 and still hangin' in there.

I totally understand. If it weren't for my wife and I, our parents would be in far worse shape. It is hard knowing the inevitable.......But we're trying to postpone it as long as possible

Late 1892 Trapdoor Springfield with a bore that looks almost unfired. It would have originally had the ramrod bayonet, but somehow ended up in a stock from 1889.

This is the oldest Gun , I ever fired. It's a Vietnam Era M-60. I was in Guam doing a week long qualification for this weapon. In the picture we are doing night training with only tracers. Year 1984.

Hard to think on this one. I’m going to say my Frank wesson double trigger made around 1863 in 32 RF. I actually took a squirrel out of one of the mulberry tree with it. I’m sure something will pop in my head predating it.
