Exactly. If Deal does nothing it becomes law. If he vetos he sends a clear message he does not want to send. Why are folks freaking out?

Moms Demand Action: Felons Should Submit to Attacks
Now that they have lost their fight in the legislature, Moms Demand Action are acting like old news is new to try to convince the public to ask the governor to veto HB 60.
The Moms have been trying for weeks to somebody, anybody, to agree with them that felons do not deserve to live. One of the Moms’ mavens, Melinda Ennis Roughton, has sought in vain to convince people that HB 60 “expands” self defense rights to felons, apparently believing that felons do not deserve to use a basic human right, the right to defend oneself. She found support in the most incredible place, the AJC, whose managing editor is one Bert Roughton (yes, they are husband and wife).

Governor Deal. The people of the Great State of Georgia has spoken and supported the passage of HB60, which passed in both the House and the Senate. You have always been an advocate of the 2nd amendment and other pro gun related issues. It is your Duty to sign this Bill into law and to ignore all of the anti gun zealots especially from the many "out of state" groups. They have absolutely no relevance to the impact of Georgia Law. Stand strong in your Pro gun convictions and please sign this bill.
