Gun stolen by Police or Tow Company ???

I’d get a copy of the police report before I took her word for everything. Weed in a bag and vape and speeding on Bells Ferry? No wonder the cop smelled weed. I’d double check the facts before I got real deep in this one. I would at least file a stolen gun report with Cherokee today.

As I stated , When I picked up my wife & Son from work on Wed , she asked if I could give this girl a ride home ( it's only 2 mile away from here & $20 Uber is BS .

I heard her tell the story to my wife & it's been on my mind ever since .

The wife don't like to get into folks business but the girl brought it up & I will push her for more info , I mean .....I don't see why an officer would put their career in danger over a gun , tow Co Dr = same but more likely to take it .

The Girl stated it happened back in October & her BF was " Waiting to get his gun " & also said "No-one seems to have it " .
I told her to get the arrest info / report & make sure the gun is accounted for . She said she would & I will pressure the wife to get the right story .

I thought the Vapes were a felony , she said her BF told the cop's he got it at a vape shop ??? Guess they did not want to send it to the Ga Crime Lab , heck my friends son went to jail in Cobb just over a year ago & when she picked up his property they gave her his THC vape back along with his other stuff , funny cause it Had a Pot Leaf on it & said CA approved or something similar .

I did see the YT Video of that Cherokee officer Lie & Go into a Lady's home without a warrant to get her Son cause one of those 'Tag Readers ' led him to her house over a Motorcycle that allegedly fled or something like that & that was near Town lake Pkwy.

The one where a Tag reader led Holly Springs Police to a Man home was a crazy YT video as well ; watching them & Cherokee County doing 120 + up & down Highway 5 back & fourth chasing a Ghost as the Souped Up Beamer was LONG GONE .

Sometimes It looks like some officers have a death wish & putting the public in danger / over a speeder . = CRAZY IMO .

You got the story second hand. Pulled over for 7mph over the limit? You need to be going 10 over the speed limit to get a citation per state law. Should have just been a warning. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. Driving around with a bag containing a firearm, weed and weed vape is asking for misery. He needs to just write it off and start to think like a responsible adult.

I told her that , " It has to be 10 over unless it was GA ST Patrol "but it was Cherokee County .

I was thinking the same thing , like her BF lied to her .

My wife is her Manager & she did call in Cause she had to bond him out & had no ride that day . So ???

Standard procedures is completing an inventory of valuables in the car for each impounded vehicle. You don’t leave firearms or valuables in an impounded car for this reason.

The MJ vape alone is a FELONY and she could’ve been charged with possession of firearm during commission of certain felonies for having the vape and gun together. Did they collect it for safekeeping to not leave it in the car? Or did they collect it for evidence and she’s not being honest about that felony?

I would contact the agency bc it could be so simple as watching BWC to determine A) if the gun was actually there B) if there was some kind of misconduct by cop C) if someone at the tow yard stole it or D) kid was too high to remember what happened with the firearm.

Delta 9 , hemp or Delta 8 , Whatever , a Vape shop owner tried to explain all that to me . Heck I just smoked bud up till 2008 .
Went to jail 3 different times for lees than a gram each time from age 17 .

On the last one Norcross PD did not put the amount on the report & on another case Cobb did not put my 'Attempting to elude ' down as a misdemeanor. ( I did not run I just wanted to go to jail in Roswell Not Cobb . ) .

Then in 2011 , I was denied on a Gun Buy , It took a year & much work to get all that fixed , then I just got a VAF # ( I think that is what it's called . To put on my 4473 forms . In 2019 I got my GWCP , much less stress now .

I don't miss Weed at all , Other than at Christmas time but I crave Jack Daniels at Christmas also .

Was the speeding in a school zone? If not, the story doesn't hold up as 52 in a 45 wouldn't even be a speeding ticket:

See 40-14-8. Locals have to give 10 MPH (with a few exceptions).

When I called the police on myself (a long time ago) and said come lock me up I've lost it. I told them about my firearm in my vehicle. They bagged it up and carried it with them. A month and a half later when I got out of the psych ward I went and picked it up at their evidence locker type thing. I never got my Benchmade auto opening knife back though. BUT, I was honestly just happy to get my firearm back and my mind. @captdave77 has that firearm now. It is a great shooter.

Cool you admit that , I called the cops on myself 2 times back when I was drinking , They took me to Kennestone the 1st time & Home the 2ed . I was on probation & wanted to be away from temptation . Both times I was glad they did not lock me up once I was sober .

Recently I've been watching a lot of interrogation videos on YouTube especially about Macon/ middle GA murders. Two things I learned from those HOURS long videos. 1) When they're guilty they always leave out at least one very important detail. Kinda like your observation about facts not matching up. 2) And most importantly here is that once you're in that tiny little interview room with investigators...the more you talk the more you LOSE.
The only good responses in that situation are 1) Am I detained or free to go? 2) I need a lawyer before we go any further. Even if you're NOT guilty it's stupid to do it any other way.

Yeah, if all he's facing is some misdemeanor charge, he might should stfu, thank his lucky stars, and write off the Glock (in his mind) as a business expense. I wouldn't even mention it, for fear of bringing amended charges. It's long gone.

Oh , I was "Paced " one time , it was BS as I saw the Cop waiting to turn , the kept it at 45 when he was behind me ( Cause my DL was suspended . ) . I was driving a POS Red Car & Looked Hispanic .
