Field stripping an “unloaded” Glock…hole in the floor of my f250. Guy that worked for me..he was attempting to get his Glock slide off. He worked at it a few minutes and walked over to me and asked if I would show him how to get it off… First rule as always, check to see for yourself that it’s clear..ND thru the rocker panel.

Funny enough, the hotel was so low rent that it never got mentioned. The muzzle blast melted about a three inch hole in the poly/plastic-blend comforter, bullet went through the sheets, mattress, box-springs, and into the carpet. Luckily it was early in the afternoon and on the bottom floor. Tulsa Oklahoma in the late nineties, was pretty "hood"...especially in the areas that we stayed for work.

I have to add that i just walked my dogs around my hood. I carry a Ruger 22lr with light and extra clipozine. When i got home, I pulled it out and the safety was on RED. It happens, and I understand. Stay vigilant and stay safe 🙏

I had a Savage 99 with the safety in the lever. Every time I took it hunting I'd check the safety after a while and it was always off. Every time. I sold that rifle because of that. I loved the rifle, but it wasn't worth the safety issue

I can say that I have been there done that and got the shirt or should I say s••• saying so. About 25 years ago I had a Glock don’t remember the model but sub compact in 357 sig. Don’t recall what I had done in adding something to it, but was at work playing around with it without a mag inserted. And without thinking installed the mag held for a moment pulled the slide back and pulled the trigger seconds later. Luckily I had it pointed at the floor bad thing was it was at work but on lunch break. I was the only one in the shop and inside a little 10x10 office. My ears rang for about 10-15 minutes afterwards and the smell of gun powder would make you cough. Hit the concrete floor bounced up about 4 inches into and through a fileing cabinet and into a wall never to be found.
Yes I learned a lot that day and knock on wood it won’t happen again as that was and has been my first and only. To this day I will triple check before doing anything.
