Have you ever discharged a firearm accidentally??

YES, my Model 7 has done it once
found this researching ~ accidental firing when closing the bolt has been associated with some Remington Model Seven Rifles & 700
called Remington and that said to clean the trigger group and apply oil
told me a bonding agent used in specific triggers can gum up

What kind of moron has an ND??

Me. I'm the moron. Glock 19 in a holster at my 4 o'clock, went to pull the gun, and my grip on the gun was further up than I thought. Pulled the trigger with my middle finger and put one into the ground. I was maybe 15 or 16 at the time, and it scared the crap out of me. It made me want to get some actual training, and I've had no less than a dozen classes now, with said Glock 19. Never happened again, but really reiterated to me first hand that bullets from my gun count as much as bullets from the bad guys gun. Get training!!!

My dad had always said there were two types of folks that handle firearms…..those that have had an ND and those that will have a ND .
If you handle them regularly or carry them daily, IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN, sooner or later.
You just have to make sure you are always as safe as possible with your stuff and ALWAYS TREAT EVERY GUN AS IF IT WAS LOADED….because more than likely, it probably is !!
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS keep them pointed in a safe direction.
Check them, then check it again, after that check it…..when you are absolutely positively certain it’s unloaded, check it again.
That is the best I can tell you about all that .

No I haven't. Had a close call one time when young. Just loaded my old marlin lever gun. Was letting the hammer down since I was going to do some walking. Had gloves on that morning. As I was letting it down it slipped. Thankfully it didn't go off but scared me how easy it could have.
