I believe moth balls help. Ivethrown them out in years past. I haven't thrown any out this spring. Going to buy some now. I believe it's a copperhead. I live in the foothills & have a creek 25 yards away.

Are you sure you don't have any in-laws, bad neighbor, or daughter's boyfriend to help you find it? Seriously, be careful as it looks to be a young one and they are bad about dumping their entire venom load.

Absolutely....woulda grabbed or yelled for nearest thing to kill it. If my dogs stupid enough to get in the middle.....well back to my shovel comment on the rabid dog thread lol.
