I’m taking the kayak up to Canton tomorrow morning for a couple of hours of fishing. Probably be on the water around 10.

Anyone else fish up there? I’ll be paddling a green Vibe.

Had a little luck today and saw a couple other guys from Georgia Kayak Fishing.

Both fish were just a little over a pound. Caught one on a Rage Swimmer underspin and the other on a watermelon fluke jr. on a drop shot.

Where are you guys fishing at. There was a grove of trees not too far off the dam face when we began filling. I've often thought about trying to see what's there but don't get up that way much.

In the summer I’ve had luck through the culvert in the lily pads. My most consistent catch is at the rock wall, just past the island and under the power lines. There is a steep drop off there about 10 feet from the bank. It drops from about 10’ to 30’ and the fish suspend along that drop. I’ve caught them on lipless cranks, swim baits and drop shots.
