Home Security Cameras

Why are you buying CR123s when the ARLO batteries are rechargeable and last 4 months? I have an ARLO PRO setup and it gives me what I need with no monitoring cost for an indoor/outdoor completely wireless system. You have a free 7 day buffer for all recorded video. Anything I want to save I can download.
Arlo pro has rechargeables but regular arlo doesn’t.

I have a Nest camera on top of my safe. Sends an alert to my phone and you can see/talk via your phone when it senses motion and/or noise. The lawn guys outside set it off.

I bought the camera a while ago to keep track of the house when I was on vacation, it worked perfectly, every time the cat walked by it alarmed.

I dont have the service that goes with it, but it works fine with out it.

Because I spent like $300 - $400 on the first arlo system and didn't want to upgrade with a brand that's lost my confidence. I wish I had waited, but at the time I was contemplating other brands/cameras. If I wasn't disappointed with the app and motion detection I might (and have thought about a lot) purchasing the rechargeable arlos. But with no upgrade program and no updates/firmware updates to the first line they stuck customers with I think I'm going to try something different. I am glad to hear the rechargeable ones are better though!

I will look into the rcr123's and see what they cost. I had some cheap ones in the past that weren't great but they may have been cheapos. I'm just about ready to just take the loss on these arlos. My wyzecam's won't be delivered for a few more weeks so I can't play with them soon either. Apparently they are really sold out. It looks lie it'll be about $50 for rechargeable cr123's for my two cameras.

Not worth it man unless you plan on keeping the system in use. I never believed in wireless cameras since you have to manage batteries and they only come on when motion is detected. If I need to view footage for personal reasons then I wouldn’t be able to. I also deploy a lot and wireless is not convenient.

My budget home security system. We have never had a break in and never had anyone even attempt to come in my backyard without being invited.

Lol I’m not the one buying batteries for my system. I use a Lorex.
I don't buy batteries, I charge the ones I have then put them back in the camera, then do it again in about 4 months.....I can put the cameras anywhere in a 500 foot radius of the base so they are totally portable and I can change what I am watching with ease.

Because I spent like $300 - $400 on the first arlo system...
Mine wound up being free for the base and one camera....so I bought a few additional ARLO Pro cameras from a guy on Craigslist and now I have three cameras.

I really like my ARLO...it does exactly what I need it to and the night vision is excellent. I am unencumbered by wiring and the web interface is great for me.
