honda, no fuel filter?!

So i learned that honda doesn't believe in fuel filters.

I'm not sure when they stopped doiing it but 2006 + Civic's got no filters.

Only thing it got is fuel strainer, inside the fuel tank.
Honda says it's lifetime.

I want to add a fuel filter. Inline filter, i guess would be the best choice?
Any tips?

A short search revealed that there is a screen that can be serviced and perhaps an integral filter with the fuel pump/ sending unit.

I was not able to find just the screen for gen 9 Civic. You can buy one for 8 gen. But it takes about an hour to do that. Since you have to get into the tank.

found this; the stock fuel pump pushes 135lph.

Why?

Best bet leave the fuel system alone. You'd be amazed at tye number of OEM's who only use the in tank filter.

Just drop in some pro-street racing parts. Do it how Block would do it.
