I spotted this guy yesterday and want him bad next year. I'm going to start a supplemental food and nutrition program for him so he's still healthy next year. All of that will disappear completely 10 days before the bow season opens.

I'm thinking about setting up an artificial scrape to keep him coming to the area, but have never used them seriously before and have doubts about their real effect.

What have been your experiences with them?

I have made a scrape line twice on the property I hunt. Had bucks pissed about it and moving good. You have to time it right and keep them fresh and put them in the right spot. They work but it takes a lot of effort on your part too.

To get him to eat pellets you will have to mix with corn it will take a while it took us 3 years to get them to 100% pellets now they eat 4 tons a month in five troughs here is a example of a couple
