so NO brace of any sort or manufacturer can be in the possession of a legal gun owner? can a brace be on a 16" barreled weapon?

Technically some braces will be acceptable but it’s not very clear which ones and in what configuration. The link below has a point calculator that the ATF is going to use to determine what’s a pistol with a brace vs a sbr.
