I did something similar this year, but I used a heavy duty staple gun and 9/16" staples to secure it to the trees. Then I piled a bunch of fallen limbs and stuff around it.

ya, wish I had my own land to make a permanent one on lol. im huntin public, so if I don't want it stolen I cant leave it out there lol. and by using the burlap/550 cord to prop it up would be lighter to pack in/out than a regular "portable" ground blind. plus a helluva lot cheaper lol.

Saw my grand daddy buck last Saturday. he stayed in the thickets and didn`t give me a shot. Lucky me, cause all the shakin and heavy breathing when I saw him fogged my scope up.
