Thinking the noon till dark hunt should be pretty good. My wife all but forces me to take half a day a week off to sit around the house and do NOTHING. Looks like a good morning for it.

Oh yeah, still hunting in the rain is the best.
My buddy and. I were doing that one day.
I just came up a steep hill next to a creek bed and my buddy was following behind as I watched him coming up the hill then lost sight of him while he crossed a steep creek bed then a small buck popped out dead silent from the other side of the creek bed in front of him, stopped briefly then mosied silently up the hill away from him.
Incredible how they blend in and disappear.
I asked him if he saw it and he said no.....lol.
I couldn't shoot it because I could not see my buddy and did not want to chance hitting him too since the deer was roughly 10 feet in front of him.

Just got in. Went out stalk hunting and saw the the two little ones and the momma. Found a lot of new scrapes in places I didn't think they really went.

Frog toggs and sit inside a blind. I ain't hungry enough to sit in cold rain to deer hunt.
I use a camo rain suit with a hood and also have a camo tree umbrella that works well.
Definitely good to be out after the rain stops. They'll be moving then. I bought a CVA single shot just for rainy days. If it gets soaked I don't care.
saw a small 8 (smaller that the 1st so I let him go) with nose on the ground in Hall Co this morning about 0730. he was on the hunt for some ladies for sure.... hopefully its starting to heat up....
