Hypothetical Handgun Transfer Question

Let's assume that a handgun owner is a Georgia resident whose job sometimes requires that he spend extended amounts of time in a different state. The state where he is temporarily working is a reciprocal state which recognizes his GWCL; so he carries his handgun with him. During his absence, something comes up where he needs money quickly. He advertises his handgun for sale on ODT. As luck would have it, I will be traveling through the state where he is working. I am also a Georgia resident with a GWCL.

The question: Can we legally do a FTF transfer of the weapon as I pass through the state where he is working?

Far as i know you only have to reside in the same state.....interesting question though.

Two residents of ga can legally. A private sale out of state requires a ffl transfer
