I have the ammo on the shelf, but I won't sell it to you?

back during the great .22LR shortage it seems like i remember barrows doing something like that with. pm me the location of the american whitetail. every 7-08 i've had did fine with it and i'm out right now.

looking for 300 blackout called around and found some at a store that woukd only sell you ammo to use on their range.. Wound not sell an ammo to leave the store.

Old hat, this happens every time there is a shortage. The only places that don't are raping people with 1.05 9mm and 1.50 .223 ammo. I don't like it, but I understand why. A gun with no ammo is like a car with no gas. Pretty to look at but useless for its intended purpose.

He’s holding back the better ammo for the folks that buy a rifle.

Chances are, folks that are buying rifles from him are regular customers, and he wants to take care of them. He is less concerned about folks that are hopping from shop to shop to buy ammo.....the type of customer he may never see again.

Ammo that has a proven track record for dependable accuracy. When he sells a rifle, he would rather not put up with the headache of having a customer coming back saying “it don’t shoot”. So, offer the good ammo with rifle sales and keep those folks happy.
