Is it time to liquidate?

I’m sitting tight. Takes to much effort to part with and I think I have what I want. There are several that could go and not be missed. I want to move in about 5 years, so that’s when I’ll start to dump a bunch of stuff. Not really looking for the $, just having less stuff to keep up with.

When it comes to value, Nonliberal Nonliberal tagged it, the dollar has dropped, inflation is STUPID rampant.
By comparison, to the daily items where we feel that impact, I'm NOT seeing that price hike at my LGS or any of the shows...yet. if anything, it makes me see guns are even MORE of a deal...except for here, far and few in-between.

That reminded me of a funny story several years ago :becky:

I was talking about it at dinner the other night and my wife said "You ain't wiped you ass in a year. You can't **** in the yard." . She's right, we got a bidet and I have scheduled my ****s around being home for a year. I think I rember how to wipe my ass. Like riding a bicycle right?
I don't know that I can mentally crouch in my driveway and grunt one out. I mean, what do I do with the **** paper after I wipe my ass? Then I have to walk around feeling all **** assed for the rest of the day. It is a hollow threat, the woman knows me.
I installed a bidet a while back. It’s life changing. I know what you mean. I didn’t go to the final round of the Masters today for 2 reasons, and one was the house we were staying in didn’t have a bidet. I wanted to come home to poop like a civilized person.

That problem is so white, it should go snowboarding!

Starting this in the pasture since that's where it will end up anyway. First off this is not a bitch/complaining post. This is a legitimate question: are guns selling at the listed prices? Specifically S&W revolvers and 1911s. I have been a collector for years and thinking it may be time to liquidate my assets while the prices are inflated. Or do you think they will keep climbing? I am sure they're are some good deals on the trader, but everything I am looking for is either on the other side of the state or seems inflated. I am seeing RIA 1911s listed for nearly $1k and S&W revolvers over $2k. I am sure some of these are not your run of the mills guns and are collector items, but it seems to have inflated the prices of the common guns. Is it time to get out or keep holding on?
Just remember, like gold and real estate, guns hold their value even as the value of the dollar drops in value.

This increase in price is a reflection of the printing of money.

In 1960 minimum wage was a dollar, gold was $35 an ounce, and a new Corvette was 2K. But at the same time, you could buy 4 Corvairs, for the same money as one Corvette.

What is the difference in the $35 ounce of gold then vs $2K ounce of gold now? Printing money!
