My experience is that the ammo you shoot plays a big role in accuracy. Shooting Russian steel case FMJ or HP, 2-3" at 100 yds is probably great. Try shooting some Hornady 123gr SST stuff and you will see your groups tighten up. When you can tell the difference on an indoor range, you know there is a difference. However, deer don't appreciate being shot with either the SST or HP ammo.
