Kimber

I am curious myself to hear the result of your call to KImber.I have heard others having problems with rust on barrels seems the match barrels dont rust as quickly.

UPDATE- Kimber treated me right. Took it in, buffed it out, polished the feed ramp. The onus is on me to keep the lube high. I will probably replace the barrel with a stainless Wilson when the funds allow it. Kimber is all good in my book now.

Do you remember who you talked to at Kimber?

wtf is it with kimber and rusting barrels? Mine did the same damn thing.

They used uncoated raw carbon steel barrels. The LOOK stainless, but have no finish whatsoever. AND Kimber will not replace the barrel with one of their stainless ones.
If anybody has any questions please feel free to email me and I can tell the LONG and ridiculous story.

Very friendly CS though. The company's only saving grace...
