I wouldnt worry about it to much. The deer population would be wiped out quick by people.

LOL! Yeah. I downloaded the Army Survival handbook ap to my smart phone, then thought about how rediculous THAT was. So I ordered the book from Amazon. I'm working on a good survival library now.
We've got chickens and have talked about getting some rabbits. We've really worked hard the last couple years on our gardening skills. Me and my son have started squirrel and rabbit hunting this year, so we have small game covered. It just dawned on my yesterday as I was skinning the deer we harvested that I wouldn't know what to do with all that meat without a freezer to put it in. We also have a spring fed pond that has lots of bream in it, but that would get fished out pretty fast if we relied on it too much. I will look into salting and smoking. Might even try to do something with the deer meat i just got.
Im eating chicken i canned two years ago. Greatest thing my mother ever tought me. She is a pro forsure.
Cheaper too. Im trying to talk her into teaching a class on it so we can share with people that want to learn but she is a shy woman. I will just have to keep working on her.
If ya talk her into it let me know , would love to know how just in case Or even if i just happen to find a great deal on yard bird
