Local Law Enforcement Using Military Equipment Questioned

I understand what your saying but simply being an EMT, a Firefighter or an LEO does NOT make you (general not you, you) better than everyone else. I understand that a lot of them are really good people but to some of them it's just a job.

I think that to most of them it's just a job, but that doesn't mean that we should limit their ability to perform that job (and put them at greater risk by doing it) because we fear the authority that comes with it.

LEOs should have what the people have... 50BMGs, Class 3 Weapons(Including M16s), Machine guns, Street Sweepers, etc.. Sorry if you live in a state that does not participate in our constitution, and I don't know how tanks and armored carriers got into domestic law enforcement. At this point in history, those "small arms" listed previously are not "military weapons". They are weapons legal for consumption, collection, and use by Americans.

So ask yourself; why should law enforcement NOT have weapons that are readily available to the public?
