Lube it up.

For guns that I don't shoot often, I use Eezox. For others I use whatever is close. Motor oil, remoil, atf etc. I did try canola oil. It got gummy after sitting a few weeks.

I have for a good while cleaned with CLP, wiped down, and added a few drops at the magic spots. That works.

Recently, I have additionally started using a little grease on rails and wax under grips on some pistols. That has also worked.

Bought some of the ALG 0000 Thin Grease to give it a try.

On an interesting note, the directions that came with my STI Staccato-P 9mm specific states NOT to use grease. Grease is all I’ve used on it so far. 5 loads, from 115grn reloads to 124grn +P’s, 800rds total, absolutely no issues.

The real question is, what holds up to suppressed usage the best. 100 rounds in and lube was like water and dried the bcg in a hurry

I have an amsoil dealer account and may give their stuff a try and their engine oil
