With a Hogue grip, she better have big hands. I let my wife pick hers out, that way she was comfortable and more willing to go shooting.

My wife cannot hold any of the Glocks comfortably minus a G42/43.

This is gonna be a crazy idea. Ask her what she wants. Does she want it all decorated or would she prefer a gun that maintains its dignity? Do you have kids in the house? I think making a gun look like a toy could be potentially dangerous. This is your gun and my opinion.

it's suppose to be a surprise. bad yeah we have a few sons together. and all the guns besides the custom p220 I carry is locked up. how many of you have surprised your wife with a gun.

I gave my wife a new G43 all black.
I let her customize it the way she wanted it and I am glad I did.
It turned out completely different than I would have done it .
She spent time searching the net for ideas and picked out everything she wanted done.
She loves it and we got to spend some quality gun time together.
