Who do you use for serious vehicle ac work? Got an (03 i believe) acura tl that needs ac in a bad way.

Who do you use?

I need someone that really knows acs, not a shade tree mechanic

Im north of atlanta, near gainesvile

If it's an actual a/c problem, easy. Repair or replace offending part/s.

If it's car issue as in BCM/CCM that's where the fun starts..
took it to a oil change a c specialist (aka autozone experts) Got an absurd quote but he seemed to think that it needed a new compressor and then a flush/recharge

Oh dear god.......

Google your problem (be specific, cuts down on useless hits). I'm sure your not the only one with an 03 Tl that has no air. Probably a common failure part or fix, at least it will point you in the right direction.

Auto a/c systems are all vehicle computer controlled now, no more simple switch on the dash tripping a relay. I miss the good ole days.......lol

Edit to add:

Some OEM OBDII failure codes will prevent the a/c from running......

My 04 TL quit blowing cold one day...A Schrader valve was leaking and caused the compressor to quit cycling due to low Freon. Member harrycalahan harrycalahan replaced both Schrader valves recharged the system in the parking lot at work and ....Blows 45 degrees in this Georgia heat.....
