Your area might be different but there are a lot of places now that don't turn rotors at all or can only turn them on the vehicle.
What are your main requirements for your brakes? Do you want them to be quiet? Or is service life more important?
What he said ^^^^^I have the PowerStop rotors and pads on my 2008 Tacoma. No issues with warping or noise. My Wife's Highlander also has the PowerStop kit with no complaints.
My Amazon history probably has 35+ sets of PowerStop brakes for varies cars. I use them when the customer is an aggressive driver. The generic parts store brake rotors warp incredibly easy. I haven't had an issue out of their rotors and the pads generate very little brake dust
Hmm….never had an issue with drilled rotors..educate me.Last question. Are the brake pads worn and need replacement or are the rotors causing a vibration or both?
You can do a lot worse than Brembo, Power Stop, or StopTech for pads or rotors. Just try and stay away from drilled rotors. Akebono brake pads are also a safe bet as they are an OEM for most of the Japanese car manufacturers.
Cryo-treated rotors aren't a gimmick and can offer more service life but I wouldn't pay a bunch more for them over what the OEM parts from Toyota cost.
Honestly, I've heard all across the board will little to no difference. I'm not an engineer so I buy the best parts I know of. Or at least close to it. I probably spend a little more than I have too. But my time is worth more than spending a few dollars more and not having to work on the vehicle as much.Don't know. That is why I am getting opinions.
