Moon Phase and Deer Hunting

When the rut is in full swing they could care less what phase it’s in.i do believe it affects feeding activity when things are normal.

Growing up, I always heard that the deer feed all night on a full moon, so hunting wouldn't be very good. That thinking was disproved many years ago when I saw thirty something deer on a morning after a full moon. I even shot a doe and had more show up. Of course, my philosophy is to hunt every minute that you can.:thumb:

Full moon definitely affects deer activity at night. Rut is determined with day light hours getting shorter but is spurred with a good cold front, and my experience is when in full rut midday is a good time to hunt
