makes about as much sense as

I think the moon phase and the weather help kick off the rut.

When the rut is in full swing they could care less what phase it’s in.i do believe it affects feeding activity when things are normal.

Oh yeah nothing matters when the rut is in full swing. But I think the moon phase and weather help to start the rut.

They are going to eat every day but I know it can effect what we might think are the normal feeding time

Growing up, I always heard that the deer feed all night on a full moon, so hunting wouldn't be very good. That thinking was disproved many years ago when I saw thirty something deer on a morning after a full moon. I even shot a doe and had more show up. Of course, my philosophy is to hunt every minute that you can.

I have never scheduled a hunt based on the moon or weather, only based on my free time.

Best time to hunt is when you can. You can find a wives tale or internet lore to tell you to stay home on any day or condition. The deer are out there 24/7 365.

Full moon definitely affects deer activity at night. Rut is determined with day light hours getting shorter but is spurred with a good cold front, and my experience is when in full rut midday is a good time to hunt
