I drove my little Accent to Bracey, VA and back (~900 miles) last week and managed to hit 39mpg...with a 16' Mad River Canoe on the roof. Pretty impressive for a little cheap car.

86 mazda b2000 ex cab 5speed, 86 Suzuki samurai Lifted spoa lift lockers and 5 speed. saw just over 32 mpg in each. Also saw 60 mpg on my chopper with a 113 s&s i know its not a car but it had a motor bigger than the samurai.

My 1999 Nissan Altima with a 5 speed manual gets about 28 mpg on the highway with A/C, about 31-32 mpgwith no A/C. That's at 75 mph. The best I've gotten with the car is 41 mpg - kept the thing pegged at 60 mph for a 400 mile overnight trip. Currently has about 137K on it, still runs and looks great. It's about to get replaced with a Prius.

Our Dodge Caravan SES with a 3.8L gets up to 28 mpg on the highway with no a/c. That van gets killer mpg.
