My prayer's have been answered

Petrifying went well. It’s time to start laying up epoxy. However I landed the largest job we have ever brought into the cabinet shop and DD’s sign is literally buried under cabinets at the moment.

We are moving into a larger shop next month and I should be able to get back to this. I will have it to him by Christmas.
Brother I just saw this, Your livelihood and family always come first....I have much respect for what you are doing and the kind heart you have...I can wait until the cows come home, just knowing it will someday fly again! I thought it was lost and you are bringing it back to life, I think in my humble opinion it is more than worth the wait...Thanks for what you are doing...

I thank DD for histremendous patience. This project has been pulled out of the abyss and is getting a little love this morning. Santa called and said I needed to get it finished so he could get it on his sled.

My goal on this one is to preserve not restore. I want to maintain the character of the patina and the years of weathering, not make them go away. I’m adding a little highlights to the carving with the same intention. Once the clear goes on the letters will pop but not look new. I want it to look old and a little beat up like it’s owner :p
