I have the blocks, straps, jacks, etc. Just biting the bullet to get the winch mounted in a hidden mount.

I had one from harbor freight and it worked just fine. It is still somewhere in my Garage, after 8 plus years...
So, for just couple uses a year, you will do just fine with one from HF!

Well, since you have a rover it only makes sense to get a ****tybuilt or harbor freight winch. Good luck

Yes sir 1 or 2 snatch blocks unless it's bad, then we keep adding more blocks till it goes without trouble. They have the best planetary gear on the market

PTO powered or GTFOH…sorry I had too! Had one on the old Power Wagon and that thing would drag a freight car.

I'd check with the company that makes the hidden mount to verify what winches fit and don't fit. Things get awfully tight when trying to hide a winch
