New Alabama law makes possession of stolen firearms a felony.

This may have already been discussed so please excuse if it has. I am just curious as to how a person could know if it was stolen. And what does this do to the bill of sale arguments.

Hopefully the law has language in it that says you have to know the item is stolen. If not, that is bull****!

It has probably always been a felony above a certain dollar value. My guess the intent is to get people carrying a stolen gun on the list of people that cannot be in possession of a gun during future encounters with the police so they can be charged with possession of a gun by a convicted felon. No matter what the value of the gun.
