Pretty cool. I know they stamp some of their pistols "Made in Columbus Ga" now but this sounds like a pretty big deal. Wonder if it's an expansion of the current facility or a new location?

Interesting. HK admitted that 40% of the firearms they produced in 2016 were sent to the US civilian market. Also stated that the Columbus GA plant is dedicated to civilian firearms manufacture.

I gotta agree with the author of the article; "So does this mean that HK no longer hates you and we don’t suck anymore?"

I didn't see Glock prices drop since they only have to Ship it 2 hours south.
I'm happy to see the jobs come to GA but, I'm selfish and it does nothing for me
Both are conveniently located out of my work acceptable driving range.

Per HK it's really just an expansion in Columbus that will be followed by closing their location in New Hampshire (that I didn't know they had).
