New vehicle turbo motors

My wife's 23 Highlander is the V 6, runs good, decent fuel mileage. That's probably my route now, motor wise..
Our V6 2000 Camry is going on 400k miles. Still has original auto trans too. My Wife has driven it since new and beat the crap out of it since day one. A huge testament to Toyota. But I wouldn't bet a new one to give that kind of service

Not to mention turbos are very expensive to replace or repair. That's just an bolt on you don't need to deal with in the future. Even though it is turbocharged it is a 4 cylinder and they can't take what a V8 can.
Always hurts reliability and longevity to keep packing more power into an already stressed design

Don't the Tacoma's offer a 4.7 l V8 option. If they do this is what I would go with. That engine is supposed to be almost bulletproof and you get the reliability and smoothness of the V8 engine. Like once said previously there is no replacement for displacement. Horsepower and torque numbers are good and that is all there is to it!
Nobody builds a better V8 than the Americans, nobody.

No V8 but a V6 is an option, wasn't aware til yesterday.
