Check this out...seems pretty cool. I would like to order one but it seems as though ammunition is $1 per round, so not liking that.

An airsoft gun shoots at 400 - 500 fps. This shoots at 200 fps. If you got hit by one of the rounds (a dowel pin or drill bit) you would, at most, be mildly irritated.
The future potential is there, but it's a novelty at this point. It would be like choosing a Prius over a muscle car.
I'll happily buy one if they can get it over 1000 fps and figure out a way to provide some rifling. Without either of those, it doesn't serve any real purpose as the projectile is too slow and landing your target consistently at any distance past 25 yards is not realistic.

Its like an electric car. They’ll probably be great in about 30 years. But right now its got too many drawbacks to make it your go to weapon unless you live in a state like California where a firearm isn’t an option unless you are a criminal.
Good point... i didn't hear the part about 200fps....interesting novelty .. cool tech that one day will be useable...
