How old were you when you first fired a gun?

The earlier kids are taught gun safety and respect for firearms, the better…. most kids are naturally curious about guns…. especially handguns.

I was 8 when my dad introduced me to and gave me my late granddads Model 11 Remington 20 ga….


There's nothing better than getting paid to look out the window....

Can't remember But I do no it was a 22 I do remember shooting a H&R single shot 20 ga at 10 yrs old my Dad got me for Christmas It hurt like hell and I didn't to shoot it again right away

might have been younger...but that is when I remember learning gun safety and shooting my dad's 22's. I have his marlin 22mag in my safe. gave it to me a cpl years ago. was the first rifle I shot...I think...lol.

I think I was about 8-9, got my first .22 when I was about 14..BB/Pellet guns before that.

I was a biggun, so it was early. 12ga H&R single shot. My girls still shoot it and hunt now and then with it. My stepdad’s Python was the 2nd (honorable mention) I thought I’d get that one lol.

Sister and I are debating this. When did you learn to shoot? When do you think it's a good age to start learning firearm safety?

Started “gun safety” already with my GrandBoy using nerf guns at 3.
