Television ratings are down overall, which includes NFL games and pretty well everything else. Hate football or protests all you want, when a person starts throwing out some fantasy of bringing the NFL to its knees through their refusal to watch, it seems downright delusional. The truth is the backlash to kneeling has had a negligible effect in comparison to cultural shifts that have fewer people watching television and fewer people able to pay attention to much of anything for a few hours at a time.
