was going for a black chrome look. tell me what you guys think. this is using birchwood casey cold blue.

Looks real good.
polishing that hard Chinese slide was a pain in the you know what. but i think it was well worth the labor. i have total around 15-20 bucks in this whole project minus the pistol.
ok ill try to be as descriptive as i can.
1. polish the piss out if the slide
2. wipe down the slide with alcohol wipes
3. no heat
4. wipe down with cold blue using cotton ball
5. let it sit for 45 sec
6 rinse with cold water
7. dry. make sure its completely dry
8. light rub down with 000 steel wool
repeat 4-8 10 times
9.if you want a darker finish keep going until you get to where you want it
10. after the last steel wool rub coat in oil and let it sit as long as you can stand it
when you hit it with the oil it will get darker.
