Quick question about the order of things. When they say pending, vs as posted above pending FBI background check what exactly does that mean? Do you go check cashed, pending x date, pending FBI background, then pending again? Whats the work flow look like?

Pending and Pending FBI BG check is all the same. While technically in the office they may be waiting to hear back from the FBI or they might be waiting to actually assign your form to an examiner it doesnt matter to us.

Basically theres only 3 dates or statuses that matter: Date Filed (date your paperwork was mailed off or submitted), Date Check was cashed (this is the date you know the ATF received your form), and the date it was approved (generally the date you receive the stamp). When we calculate how long it took we take the date the check was cashed and the date you received the stamp, anything in between that is all pending.

Spoke to ATF today. For what it is worth, they are well into form 4 and 1’s from January.

Ordered from another dealer, did the Form 3, then everything was done through a Silencer Shop kiosk. Form 4 individual.

Submitted: 1/19/18
Cashed: 2/17/18
Approved: 8/20/18

Now for a 6 hour ride back to South Georgia from South Carolina to pick it up.
