Seems like silver listed on here sells pretty quick (if it’s reasonable). I have bought a few times in the past.

I’ve asked this before and I don’t remember but is it worth getting just some fractional rds or stick with 1oz only? Does being tarnished help or hurt or doesn’t matter, silver is silver? I finally might get a few coins to start out

I don't fool much with fractional silver, mainly because 1 oz is sort of the standard (my opinion only) and isn't that expensive.
For Gold, I do stack fractionals.

For fractional silver I buy 90% US coins. Easy to sell, lower premiums from the dealers.

I got bored and decided to make a list of reputable dealers that offer a silver starter pack at spot (you can get maybe 15 to 25 ounces this way, possibly more)

both jmbullion.com and providentmetals.com offers a 10oz starter pack and has free shipping on orders over 99 dollars (the starter pack qualifies). they send you generic silver 1troy ounce rounds, no choice in what you receive

a new vendor I just discovered, Bold PMs has a starter pack of 5 oz (or 10dollar face of junk) for spot, but you have to order 99 dollars worth of stuff to qualify for free shipping. it is cool that they give you a choice. I haven't used these guys yet so they are unreviewed as best as I know

apmex doesn't offer a starter kit for some reason. not that I know of anyhow
